Fort Lauderdale · Compass

The right house,
and the right answer about it.

Isabelle Gainey sells homes across Fort Lauderdale and Broward County. First-time buyers, sellers, second homes, and the short-term rentals that need a different set of questions asked before anyone signs anything.

Three kinds of work, one standard

01   Buying

Your first house, or your fourth

First-time buyers get the most time, because they need it. What the offer actually commits you to, what the inspection is really looking for, and what the insurance quote does to the monthly number.

How buying works →

02   Selling

Priced on evidence

A list price argued from comparables you can see, a preparation list ranked by what returns the money, and a marketing plan that starts with photography rather than ends with it.

How selling works →

03   Short-term rentals

Houses that have to earn

Zoning, association minimum stays, city registration, the state license and the county tourist tax. Checked at a specific address before the inspection period closes, not after.

How that works →

Buying your first

Nobody explains the middle part

Most first-time buyers understand the deposit and the closing. What catches people is everything between: the inspection window and what it actually protects, the insurance quote that arrives late and changes the monthly payment, the association documents nobody reads, and the appraisal that comes in under contract.

Isabelle walks first-time buyers through that middle part in plain language, before it is happening rather than while it is.

Meet Isabelle

A Florida native who buys land on purpose

A proud Gator alum of the University of Florida, from a family of entrepreneurs and real estate agents. She works with first-time buyers, sellers, second-home buyers and short-term rental owners, and most of her clients arrive by referral from earlier ones.

She works under Compass, and she is the referral agent for Holdfast Holdings, a Fort Lauderdale short-term rental management company. That relationship is disclosed on every page where it is relevant.

Isabelle helped me close on my home in October 2022 and I couldn't have been more satisfied with her service. It took me a whole year to find the right place, and as a first-time buyer I had a million different questions and concerns, but Isabelle was there…

My husband and I had been looking to purchase a home for more than a year, and we had spoken to several realtors. To be honest it felt like no one wanted to take the time to help us deal with the process on our own terms. Until one day we found Isabelle.…
