Its own city, deep water, northeast Broward.

Lighthouse Point is a separate municipality in northeast Broward County, not a Fort Lauderdale neighborhood. It is built almost entirely around a canal system with short access to the Hillsboro Inlet.

For boat owners it is one of the strongest positions in the county. It is also its own city, which means its own rules.
